Description

Brams is an Android keyboard that draws its look from 1960s German industrial design. Few colors, simple shapes, and every detail serves a purpose. The keys have depth, sink when you tap, and sound like a real mechanical keyboard. What you type never leaves your phone – the only internet use is to download language packs or check for updates.

Feel the Keys – Design & Customization

3D keys feature shadows, side walls, and a matte texture that sink with each tap. You get 17 keycap shapes, including OEM, SA, DSA, XDA, KAT and MT3 profiles. Choose from 22 color themes in light, dark, or AMOLED modes, plus more than 50 Signature themes you unlock with Brams Points. Adjustable backlight offers 12 gaming RGB effects – wave, waterfall, breathing, reactive, ripple, starlight, rain, fire and more – in 24 colors. Caps Lock glows, keys animate on entrance, and rounded top corners add a sleek touch. You can tweak height, spacing, enable one‑handed mode, or use a floating keyboard on tablets.

Hear the Click – Mechanical Keyboard Sounds

Brams ships with 14 authentic sounds recorded from real keyboards: Mechanical, Magnetic, Aluminum, Cushioned, Springy and more. Space, Enter and Delete each have their own signature click. Vibration is adjustable, with a dedicated strength setting for the space bar, so you can feel the tap as well as hear it.

72 Languages, Autocorrect & Suggestions – All Offline

From Portuguese and English to Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, Greek, Hebrew, Thai and many more, Brams supports 72 languages. Your phone’s languages appear in the app; download additional packs in Settings – each under 20 MB – and they work offline, even in airplane mode. Multiple languages can stay active at once, no need to switch. Dedicated keyboards cover Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Thai, Arabic‑script, Indian (InScript) and Vietnamese (Telex). Japanese includes kanji conversion, pinyin for Simplified Chinese, zhuyin for Traditional Chinese, and Korean support. The list updates when you tap Check for language updates. Autocorrect fixes missing accents, never learns its own mistakes, completes words, predicts the next term from context, remembers your frequent emails, and lets you swipe across letters to type. Supported layouts include QWERTY, AZERTY, QWERTZ, Turkish Q, Nordic, Dvorak, Colemak and BÉPO.

Translate Anywhere Without Leaving the Keyboard

Need to translate on the fly? Brams lets you translate into and from 57 languages directly from the keyboard. Download the target language pack in Settings (about 50 MB) and it stays offline. No extra apps, no data sent – the translation happens locally on your device.

Voice Typing That Works Offline

Tap the microphone, speak, and watch your words appear instantly. Brams only listens while the voice panel is open, and the audio is never stored or sent anywhere. This makes voice typing reliable even when you’re offline.

Everyday Tools to Boost Your Flow

Brams includes a suite of handy utilities. Search emojis by word or phrase, pick size, and get suggestions as you type. The clipboard holds text and images, lets you pin items, and lets you set expiration times. Hold the space bar to move the cursor like a trackpad. A customizable toolbar lets you switch keyboards, add shortcuts, view typing statistics, and get a weekly summary. Back up your settings and word list to a file you choose – even Google Drive – and protect it with a password if you wish.

  • Emoji search by word or phrase, size options, live suggestions
  • Clipboard for text and images, pin items, set expiration
  • Space‑bar trackpad cursor control

Privacy First – Your Data Stays Yours

Brams is built on a no‑tracking, no‑data‑collection philosophy. No ads, no analytics, no accounts, and no internet code beyond the download routine. The keyboard never sends what you type, say, or copy. Language files come from the Brams server when you tap Download, each verified and delivered without cookies or identifiers. Incognito mode disables suggestions and learning in password fields. The optional Brams Blueprint app shares only your total key count, Brams Points balance, and keyboard layout when you create a theme – nothing more.
